Glory, Duty and Sacrifice traces the early roots of the Saskatchewan Roughriders through the stories of 53 men connected to the Regina Rugby Club between 1910 and 1923. Before the Roughriders name took hold, the club won seven Western Canadian championships and built a powerful football legacy. When the First World War began, many of these players and supporters left careers and sport behind to serve. Drawing on military records and historical research, the book honours their glory on the field, their duty in wartime, and the sacrifices they made, including the ten men who never returned home.
